Thank you for your question about English as a second
language (ESL) classes in Camrose.
The Camrose Adult Learning Council offers tutoring in
both spoken and written English. Their contact information
is available at the following website:
http://www.camroselearning.com/index.php?p=15 You can ask staff at the Camrose Adult Learning Council
if they know of any other English as a second language
classes in Camrose, or you can ask staff at the Camrose
library.
Alternatively, the library subscribes to an online
language learning service called "Auralog," which you can
use to help you learn English. This service is free for
library patrons. You will need to log on with your library
card number and password, and then you will need to create
an account on the Auralog website. Here is a link:
http://library.auralog.com.ezproxy.alap.talonline.ca/?lid=ParklandR&cc=ParklandR If you are not sure what your password is for your
library card, try the last four digits of your phone number.
If that does not work, you can go to your library and a
staff person will help you.
The library also has books, CDs, and DVDs to help you
learn English. You can ask staff at your library to help you
find these in our catalogue, and if the items are at other
libraries in the Parkland system, we can send them to your
library for you to check out.
For example, we have the following titles in our
collection that can help you learn English:
ESL instant immersion - English as a second language.
(This is a set of 8 CDs.)
Learn English as a second language. (This is a DVD set.)
Intermediate English grammar for ESL learners. (This is
a book.)
The following link will take you to more items in our
catalogue that can help you learn English:
