Hello and thank you for your question about obtaining
copies of obituaries from the Calgary newspapers.
One way to obtain the obituaries is to request an
interlibrary loan of the microfilm of the Calgary newspapers
through your local library. The two newspapers in Calgary in
the 1980s were the Calgary Herald and the Calgary Sun. In
the 1960s the papers were the Calgary Herald and the Calgary
Albertan.
Another way for you to obtain the obituaries is to
contact our Research Plus service. For a fee they can find
and send copies of obituaries. Their site is:
http://blog.calgarypubliclibrary.com/blogs/business_community/pages/researchplus.aspx You can contact them for an estimate of the fee for such
a service.
Thank you for using Ask a Question. Please feel free to
