  does damage of tuberculosis caused a long time? (short
term or long term)

Answer(s):

Greetings from Ask A Question!

Thank you for your question about short and long term damage resulting from Tuberculosis. Please keep in mind that I am not an expert in this field, I am just searching for reputable websites that contain possible answers to this question.

The best answer that I found was at All 4 Natural Health. Here is the link: http://www.all4naturalhealth.com/effects-of-tuberculosis.html If the link doesn't work you can find this article by going to the All 4 Natural Health website http://www.all4naturalhealth.com and doing a site search (upper left-hand side of the page) for tuberculosis. This will bring up several articles about tuberculosis. The one you are looking for is titled Potential Damaging Effects of Tuberculosis.

I also found some complications that can result from untreated Tuberculosis at the May Clinic website. Here is the link: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tuberculosis/DS00372/DSECTION=complications If the link doesn't work you can find the information by going to the Mayo Clinic website http://www.mayoclinic.com/ . On their main page is a section titled Diseases and Conditions. Select T. Tuberculosis will be one of the diseases on the list. Once in the tuberculosis page select Complications.

Along with the previous website I also found another website by The Lung Association that contains some basic information about tuberculosis. Here is the link: http://www.lung.ca/diseases-maladies/tuberculosis-tuberculose_e.php If this link doesn't work you can go directly to The Lung Associations website http://www.lung.ca/home-accueil_e.php . On the tab at the top of the page select Lung Diseases, then Diseases A-Z. At the bottom of this list is Tuberculosis.

This is actually a difficult search to complete because many sites list only the symptoms of tuberculosis. Symptoms are not the same thing as effects. Symptoms are the indicators of a disease; Effects are the results of the disease. For example a symptom may be a cough; An effect may be lung scarring. Keep this in mind when you do any searching of your own. If you use Google you could try using the keywords tuberculosis and effects or damaging effects.

I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you need further assistance, please write back to us.
