Answer(s):

Hello and thank you for your question about studying script writing and applying for student loans.

First, here is a link to information on student loans in Alberta from the Government of Alberta's website.

Eligibility Requirements for Student Loans. Government of Alberta, Students Finance.

We searched one of our research databases called Career Cruising for the career scriptwriting. According to this database, there are two places in Alberta to take courses in this field. Both are located in Calgary.

SAIT Polytechnic Screenwriting Certificate of Accomplishment

University of Calgary Drama - Playwriting Master's Degree

Also, here is a link to the Occupational Profile from the Government of Albert for writers. It has some useful links and suggestions for pursuing a writing career.

We searched the sites of the University of Alberta, NAIT, and Grant MacEwan and Concordia, and were unable to locate any courses with scriptwriting in the title.
