of speech and/or expression in Canadian society and/or the

that it's important, for my purposes, that these quotations
are verifiable (i.e., the original source of the quotation
must be cited). I'd also appreciate it if you'd indicate
which licensed databases provide good indexing to, and/or

I would like to get a copy of the Edmonton street

for the year 1962. They would likely be on the same page. I
have seen the Peels directory and these addresses were there
in 1952 but that is the last year available online. In 1952
8101 118th ave. was Parkdale Pharmacy and 8105 118th ave.
was Club 3 Cafe. 8105 118th ave. is not there now and I need

- Question 75674 asked on 2010-07-29 17:08:21
Dear Sir/Madam I am currently researching my family
history and have a question you may be able to answer. I do
understand if this is not possible but thought it worth
exploring. In the 1901 Canada census my G G Grandfather is
recorded as residing at a place called Plant, Alberta, North
West Territories. His name was William F. Studebaker
(Studabaker) who immigrated to Canada in 1893 from the US
and became a rancher. (His daughter, my grandmother was
subsequently born(1906) and raisedin Edmonton.) I found out
that the province of Alberta did not yet exist at that time
and that there was, however, a District of Alberta which was
located in the Northwest Territories (now the Provinces of
Alberta and Saskatchewan). District Number 202 (Alberta
District) which contained a Sub-district called Plant. I
wondered if there was any more information about this
place/area called 'Plant'or my G Grandfathers ranch? Kind
regards [name and address deleted]

I work for a newspaper that covers the area around

stands outside the Alberta College of Art and Design in
Calgary. I know the work was commissioned by oil tycoon Eric
Lafferty Harvie but I am trying to get more detail about the
circumstances surrounding how he came to know about the
statue in Scotland, why he decided to copy it, and why that
particular site was chosen, also when this happened. The
college suggested I contact you. I would be grateful for any

- Question 75973 asked on 2010-08-11 06:38:26
I have a younger sister who really likes books that belong
in the mass market paperback category. The library won't put
it on the catelog because theyu are too easily destroyed and
hard to list the number of the books. So how can I find the
book she wants without searhing all the libraries and
shelves? I have another question as well. I used to read
legal manga online, manga is the equivalent of graphic
novels. Now, because of bad economy, the liscensed mangas
have been removed and I like to read them. I checked the
manga categories in the catalog, and I found out that the
newly updated volumes are quite old already. As in I've
already read them quite a while ago, about 2 months ago. If
the ones online are so far ahead, why are the libraries
graphic novels so far behind? Also, would it be possible to
have the manga scanned and put on the website? You could
still have the username and password required sign in. It is
much more convienient because I travel a lot and a family of
5 sharing one car is... Anyway it's just a
suggestion/question. Thank you! This makes me feel like
there's actually someone talking to me.
