I had a been a part time painter althrough my life. I had
tried many styles and forms. some of them are realistic and
some of them are abstract. I do not want to an illustrative
painter. I want to be a fine art painter. However, I feel
that many time my paintings have more of illustrative
flavor. How would you advise me to become more of a fine art

I am a teacher at the Sexsmith Secondary School and I am
looking for a picture (as I remember a painting) of Metis
warriors on horseback coming right at you. I believe it was
of a battle in the earlier part of the 1800¹s, perhaps
Seven Oaks or Coteau but the men were in very colourful
dress, one had a top hat. Where I saw it I do not remember
(probably in an old textbook) but I have scoured the
internet without success. If you have any ideas about this
work and where I could get a copy I would be very greatful.
