Good Afternoon, I've got a piece of furniture and all I
know about it is that it was rescued from the North
Saskatchewan River in the flood of 1915. It was sold to us
in the 60's by the family who rescued it. We don't know if
they were the original owners or 'found' it in the river.
(The original owners are no longer alive). We were told it
was a gun cabinet however when we bought it shelves were put
into it for use as a china cabinet. I have searched
everywhere (library/archives, etc)in an attempt to find the
history on this cabinet and can't locate anything. Any idea
where to turn? Any help you can offer would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you (name removed)
