I had a been a part time painter althrough my life. I had tried many styles and forms. some of them are realistic and some of them are abstract. I do not want to an illustrative painter. I want to be a fine art painter. However, I feel that many time my paintings have more of illustrative flavor. How would you advise me to become more of a fine art painter?

greetings, I am researching cultural personalities in Alberta (last 100 years). I am interested in both well known artists (dance, drama, music, visual arts etc) but also the cultural builders in Alberta - eg Joe Shocter. My main need is a variety of photographs of the personalities and their artwork or performances. Can you suggest any books that would have identified some of these personalities? thank you

I am trying to locate a documentary film created in the late 70's on the early detection of scoliosis. It was a short film that included a story about a young dancer that is diagnosed with scoliosis. It was filmed in Calgary. The skeleton images was hand painted on the back of a female dancer's leotard at the Foothills hospital. Can you help?
