Hello! I'm looking for books on London in 1895--sort of a "Dummies Guide to 1895." I'd like to know if homes used electricity or gas, what slang terms were, the average workday, if sweatshops were considered horrible or just "good business." Something that would give an overview of life for the different classes of people living in that time period--were phones something only the rich could afford? Did kids attend school?
