i am trying to identify a plant that I received in a pot
from the florist. I am pretty sure it is from the ficus
family because it has woody stems and the dark green leaves
alternate on the stem. In apearance the shape is very
similar to F Benjamina, but the leaves are curly. They fold
upward along the centre vein, such as a butterfly's wings
would, and the leaf is curled end to end in an 0 shape. As
they get larger, the leaves uncurl a little, but still the
tip nearly touches the stem. It is a small plant .. I've had
it for over a year and it is only a foot high. It is
shrub-like rather than single stemmed like a tree.
