I have found an online index to obituaries in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, and would like to obtain copies of some family obituaries that occurred in 1960, 1992, 1993, 1998, and 2001. These are all before the public online archive for that paper. Is/are there microfilms for this paper that I can read at a Calgary Public Library? However, he has a list of names that he hasn't been able to find in the sources you suggest. Do you have any ideas of alternative sources that may be useful in his search? My understanding is, the Edmonton Journal newspaper would be available on microfilm at the Stanley A. Milner Library. I am a resident of Saskatchewan. Am I required to be a member (or card holder) before I could search through those microfilms? I am a patron of the Parkland Regional Library at Melville, Sask. I am trying to find a lost family member and I thought to try to find her obituary. The problem is, I don't know her husbands surname. Saskatchewan Vital Statistics was not able to locate the registration of marriage for me. I would start at about January 1985 and do a consecutive issue random search. Indeed, this could turn into an extensive search. Please, let me know.
