I forgot my novel at school! In Gary Paulsen's The Hatchet chapter 6 what is the description of the birds eating the berries? I'm supposed to figure out what kind of bird they are. Help please!!!

I am a teacher with several students who read at advanced levels. I am looking for challenging, yet age appropriate novels in the mystery or sci fi genres. The students are boys, currently in grade 4, who are reading at or above 8th grade level. Thank you!

What make a book a classic book? What are the criteria that define classics? Is it how the book is written or the age of the book or the contents of the book? I know Jane Eyre is considered a classic but when would modern books like Hunger Games or Harry Potter be considered a classic?
