I am thinking of purchasing an e-reader. What brands are compatible with the library?

Question 86835 asked on 2012-01-25 17:12:17

I am looking at which e-reader or tablet to buy - I tried the sony ereader and didn't like the size or clarity - I attended a session but wasn't impressed with the session. Seemed a little complicated just to download books. Could you tell me if the Acer 8 GB wi-fi 7 inch Adnroid tablet can download library books? Also the newest version of the Kobo has quite a few bad reviews and I'm wondering if you would recommend it. I have viewed the comparisons and tried them out in various stores but there seems still be some difficulties with downloading and othe glitches in many of the ereaders. I do like the Kindle Fire but I understand library books cannot be downloaded?? I would appreciate your recommendation for which tablet or ereader would work the best with the library books. I am also wanting a clear backlit screen and at leaat 7 or 8 inche screen but no bigger than that. Thanks
